Peak 2026-15x microfilm viewer

The Peak 2026-15 is a 15x wide angle viewer for inserting film or microfiche. The magnifier has been redesigned to achieve focussed observation of the entire 19 mm diameter field at a magnification factor of 15x and the field curvature as well as the lateral chromatic deviation are corrected perfectly by the combination of four lenses. Two of the lenses are produced using a new type of optical glass. Moreover all six air/glass interfaces have a multiple coatings to prevent internal reflections.

This means that the Peak 2026 microfilm magnifier is suitable for viewing microfilms and X-rays in addition to normal films. An intelligent feature prevents damage to the film when inserting and the combination of clear lens and transparent window ensures that the film can be viewed without special auxiliary illumination.
